About Guelph Grad Photos

We made the grad photos we could not find

One campus, and a business built by someone who graduated from it. That is the entire idea, and it changes more than it sounds like it should.

How this started

Guelph Grad Photos was started by a University of Guelph graduate who went looking for good convocation photos and could not find any that felt right.

Everything on offer was either a rushed studio backdrop or a stranger who had never set foot on campus. Neither one had anything to do with the place where the degree actually happened.

So the answer was to stay narrow on purpose: shoot one campus, and know it properly.

We only shoot one campus, and we know it well

  • Johnston Hall
  • Alumni Walk
  • The Portico
  • The Gryphon statue
  • The Arboretum
  • Your own college building
  • Light

We know which spots catch the light in the late afternoon.

  • Quiet

We know which ones stay calm on a Saturday morning.

  • Worth it

We know which ones repay the extra ten minutes of walking.

That local knowledge is the whole point. It means we plan a route through campus instead of standing in one place, so you get real variety without ever feeling rushed.

Built around a student schedule

Convocation season is short and everyone is busy. Booking takes a couple of minutes online, and the per-person price comes down as the group grows.

You do not need to know how to pose. That part is our job, and we will guide you through all of it.

What a session gives you

  • Guided the whole way through, so you are never left standing there wondering what to do with your hands.
  • Shot in high resolution.
  • A private online gallery, with a 48-hour sneak peek and the full gallery within 7 days.
  • Depending on your package, cinematic colour grading, professional retouching, and a career-ready headshot you can use long after graduation day.

The pricing page sets out what is included in each package.
