Guelph Grad Photos · What happens next

After You Book.

The full timeline from booking to photos on the wall: instant confirmation, a $50 deposit that holds your date, prep notes, the session, a 48-hour sneak peek and your full gallery within 7 days.

You booked. Here is everything that happens next.

Booking a grad session should not feel like sending a message into the void. This page walks the whole road from the moment you book to the moment your photos are framed on a wall, in order, with no surprises. Eight steps, start to finish.

1. Your confirmation arrives right away.

As soon as you book, a confirmation lands in your inbox with your date, time and package. If it is not there within a few minutes, check spam, then contact us and we will sort it out.

2. Your $50 deposit holds the date.

A $50 deposit books any session and takes your slot off the market. It is non-refundable, which is what makes a hold a hold, and it counts toward your package total rather than sitting on top of it. The remaining balance is settled around your session, and the package details live on the pricing page.

3. Prep notes land before your session.

About a week out we send a short prep note: what to wear and what to avoid, how to handle your gown and hood so they photograph cleanly, and a reminder of your time and package. It is deliberately short. Preparation should take you twenty minutes, not a weekend.

4. We confirm your meeting point.

The day before, we confirm exactly where to find us, usually a landmark that is impossible to miss, like the steps of Johnston Hall. On session day we message you when we arrive, so there is never a moment of wandering the campus wondering if you are in the right place.

5. The session itself.

We walk a planned route through your package’s campus spots, and we keep it relaxed on purpose. Expect a mix of posed portraits and in-between moments, direction when you want it and space when you do not. Session length and the number of locations depend on your package; the full breakdown is here. Bring water, comfortable walking shoes, and anyone joining you for the family portion.

6. Your sneak peek lands within 48 hours.

Within 48 hours of your session, every package includes a sneak peek: a small set of finished photos to hold you over, post, and send to the family group chat. This is the step people tell us they did not expect and loved most.

7. Your full gallery arrives within 7 days.

Within 7 days you receive your complete gallery: your edited photos plus the wider set of unedited frames, with counts depending on your package. It arrives as a private online gallery link that is easy to browse on a phone and easy to share with family, including the relatives who could not make it to Guelph.

8. Download everything and keep it safe.

The last step is the one people skip, and it is the one your future self cares about most. When your gallery arrives:

  • Download the full set promptly. Not just the favourites. Storage is cheap and regret is not.
  • Keep copies in two places. A cloud service plus a hard drive, or two clouds. One copy is a photo; two copies are an archive.
  • Share the gallery link with family. Parents and grandparents can browse and save their own favourites without anyone forwarding attachments.
  • Treat your downloads as the real copies. Your gallery link stays up well past delivery, but the files you have saved yourself are the ones nobody can take offline.

That is the whole road. One booking, one deposit, a relaxed session, photos in your hands within a week, and a plan for keeping them for the decades they are meant to last.
