Guelph Grad Photos · FAQ

Grad photo questions, answered.

Everything grads ask us before booking, from pricing and deposits to what to wear and when your gallery lands.

Booking and pricing

How much do you charge for a session?

We run two packages. Solo, Signature is $200 for an hour and Premium is $300 for two. In a group the price is per person and comes down as the group grows, all the way to $90 each for Signature at twelve people.

Every group size with its exact price is on the grad photos page. Groups of 13 or more get a custom quote, so send us a message and we will put one together.

What is your best value package?

Signature. Solo it is $200 for a one hour session. With one other grad it is $180 each, and in a group of three or four it is $150 each. It keeps coming down from there.

Signature covers 3 campus spots and includes 10 edited photos and 70+ unedited, with the 48-hour sneak peek and 7-day gallery delivery. Every session is shot in 4K.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A $50 non refundable deposit secures your date and is applied to your final invoice. Full payment is due 48 hours before the session.

How do I get started?

Pick your group size on the grad photos page to see your exact price, then book right from there. If you would rather talk it through first, send us a message and we will confirm your session details and answer anything you are unsure about.

Your session

Where are sessions held?

Primarily on the University of Guelph campus, at spots like Johnston Hall, Alumni Walk and the University Centre. Custom off campus locations are available, with travel fees.

Our guide to the top 7 campus spots walks through the best ones and why they work.

When is the best time for my session?

Golden hour around sunset is beautiful for outdoor shots, and mornings are lovely for portraits. Convocation season books up fast, so reserve early to get the time of day you want.

What should I wear and bring?

A suit works well, as does a white or off white dress, but anything that feels like you will photograph beautifully. Casual outfits, cords, medals and family props all add variety.

Our shoot day guide covers outfits, colours that photograph best, and a full packing list for the day.

Where do I get my gown and hood?

Your gown and hood are included with every campus session, Signature and Premium alike, so there is nothing to rent and nothing to collect before the day. Tell us your degree when you book and we bring the right hood for your program.

If you already own your regalia, or you would rather arrange your own, that works just as well. The University of Guelph Bookstore rents them at bookstore.uoguelph.ca, or call 519-824-4120 ext. 53715.

Your photos

How long until I get my photos?

A small set of finished photos lands within 48 hours of the shoot, so you have something to post straight away. Your complete gallery, ready to view and download, follows within 7 days.

Every package includes both. How the gallery reaches you, and how long we keep it, is on the delivery policy page.

How many photos do I get?

Signature includes 10 edited photos and 70+ unedited. Premium includes 30 edited and 150+ unedited, plus a champagne pop on camera, Polaroid prints and a LinkedIn headshot.

Edited means hand picked, fully retouched and colour graded. Unedited means everything else that came out well, lightly sorted, so nothing is lost.
