Rated 5.0 on Google.

Every review Guelph Grad Photos has received on Google is five stars. Not a decent average with a few quiet threes pulling it down, a straight 5.0. The people behind that number are grads who booked a session on the University of Guelph campus, got their photos back, and took the time to write about the experience.

We could describe our own work all day, and elsewhere on this site we do. It lands differently coming from the people in the photos. So here they are, word for word, exactly as they were posted.

Pouya is a great photographer who consistently delivers high-quality work. He has a great eye for detail, makes the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable, and takes the time to ensure every shot looks its best.

These are real reviews, reproduced verbatim from our Google listing, typos and all caps included. Where a reviewer thanks Pouya by name, that is their own wording; every Guelph Grad Photos session gets the same care from our whole team.

What the five-star sessions have in common.

Read the reviews back and a pattern shows up quickly. Nobody raves about camera gear. Three things come up again and again.

  • Comfort first. “Comfortable and enjoyable.” “So comfortable and easy.” Most grads tell us they feel awkward in front of a camera. Our job is to make that feeling disappear in the first ten minutes, and the reviews say it does.
  • An eye for detail. A crooked hood, a flyaway hair, a tassel on the wrong side. We catch these before the photo is taken, not after, because a detail you notice on the wall print is a detail you notice forever.
  • Results that hold up. “Turned out perfectly.” “So happy with the final results.” The session is a lovely afternoon, but the photos are the point, and they are what people keep writing about.

None of that is an accident. Sessions are relaxed and unhurried, we pose you only as much as you want to be posed, and every package includes a 48-hour sneak peek and your full gallery within 7 days, so you are never left wondering how it went.

The reviews tell you how it felt. This is how it looks.

A few highlights from recent sessions around Johnston Hall, the Portico, the Gryphon statue and the walkways between them. There are plenty more on our Instagram.

For the parents reading this.

A lot of grad sessions are booked, or at least researched, by a parent. If that is you, here is what the reviews above translate to. Your grad will be met on time at an agreed spot on campus, guided through the whole session by people who do this every week, and the photos will arrive on a stated schedule, not “when we get to it”. The deposit, the timeline and the package inclusions are all written down before you pay a dollar, starting with the pricing page.

And if your grad walked the stage years ago and never got proper photos, that is more common than you would think, and very fixable. The campus does not check your convocation date.

Read them all, then add yours.

Never take a photography company’s word for its own reviews, ours included. You can read every review on Google in about two minutes, straight from the source, with nothing trimmed or curated by us.

And after your own session, once your gallery has landed and you have picked a favourite for the family group chat, we would be grateful if you left a review of your own. A sentence or two is plenty. It is the single most helpful thing a happy grad can do for us, and it helps next year’s grads (and their parents) book with confidence.

Be the next five-star session.

Convocation-season dates go quickly, and golden-hour slots go first. Pick a package, pick a date, and we will take care of the rest.
